FOCS business meeting adopts ad-hoc committee’s recommendations

The approved resolution:

We endorse the recommendations of the ad-hoc committee to combat harassment and discrimination. In particular, we authorize and instruct TCMF chair to take the following steps:

  1. Join the consortium of conferences and the program of ToC advocates, including contribution of resources as needed.
  2. Adapt and adopt recommended procedures regarding a code of conduct and author-declared conflicts of interest.
  3. As feasible, use FOCS to promote educational materials on these issues to the ToC community.
  4. Coordinate these steps with IEEE administration and its legal department.
