the IEEE TCPP Outstanding Service and Contributions Award.

# Misc
One of the important question in science is authorship, and how to
attribute credit where credit is due. Today, I wanted to highlight this
recent contribution to "how do we attribute credit in a software
contribution": Attributing and Referencing (Research) Software: Best
Practices and Outlook From Inria, by Alliez et al.

The authors develop a taxonomy of software contributions with a
qualitative scale. They discuss the different cases when a qualitative
evaluation of contributions to a software is needed (career management,
technology transfer, visibility and reproducibility), and provide
important recommendations! A must read!
