Technical Community on High Performance Computing

Announcement: Applications Open for the Inaugural TCHPC/TCPP HPC Student Cohort

Applications are now open for the inaugural HPC Student Cohort (HPCSC) sponsored by TCHPC and TCPP, offering 12-16 travel awards for students to attend SC 2024 and IPDPS 2025. HPCSC aims to foster extended engagement within the HPC community, providing networking opportunities and professional development for a diverse group of undergraduates, masters, and doctoral students. Cohort members will attend both conferences, participate in mentoring sessions, and collaborate on pre- and post-conference reports. This initiative supports students from underrepresented communities and trains senior Ph.D. students in community outreach, promoting long-term collaborations and career growth. Apply now to join this transformative experience within the HPC community. For more information and to apply, click here.

The IEEE Computer Society Technical Community on High Performance Computing (TCHPC) advances and coordinates the work in the field of high performance computing networking, storage, and analysis concepts, technologies and applications, which is carried throughout the IEEE and expand the IEEE CS’ and IEEE’s role in this interdisciplinary and pervasive field. The TCHPC provides a forum for the discussion and the exchange of information to advance the theory and the practice in this field of interest. TCHPC’s primary focus is the support and management of the IEEE CS’ shared interest in the SC conference and related SC activities.

The TCHPC is composed of member IEEE CS Technical Committees having a significant interest in high performance computing technologies and applications. The member Technical Committees are:

  • Technical Community on Parallel Processing (TCPP)
  • Technical Community on Computer Communications (TCCC)
  • Technical Community on Distributed Processing (TCDP)
  • Technical Community on Cloud Computing (TCCLD)
  • Task Force on Rebooting Computing (TFRC)
  • Technical Community on Computational Life Sciences (TCCLS)
  • Technical Community on Scalable Computing (TCSC)
