maigaMichelle Pacifico-Banawan is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science of the School of Arts and Sciences at the Ateneo de Davao University in the Philippines. At present, she is doing post-doctoral research work in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning in the Science of Learning and Educational Technology Laboratory of the Department of Psychology in Arizona State University in the US. Her work is on artificial intelligence in education. She has been actively working on student modeling of affect and behavior and intelligent tutoring systems and other educational platforms. She has worked with researchers and experts from Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines and its collaborators from University of Pennsylvania, Carnegie Mellon University and other universities outside the Philippines.
